HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: The Baltimore Place Matters Collaborative for Health Equity is using local data together with local and national best practices to inform public policy decisions made by a diverse group of Baltimoreans. The Collaborative is using the documentary series to educate and promote advocacy as the strategies unfold. The Baltimore Health Department has created an internal workgroup to address action steps from a recently released community/neighborhood report that revealed a 20 year life expectancy gap between neighborhoods in the City.
