HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: We fund various grassroots groups in the metropolitan Washington DC region that do advocacy and community organizing around health equity issues, some with a racial justice lens. We plan to expand that work in 2009. We also use our Annual Meetings as a platform to educate our community (including funders) on health equity.
