HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: The Center for Health Disparities Research is a research center within the UNLV School of Public Health. Our mission is to conduct academic and community-based participatory research that will guide public policy, program development and data collection throughout the state in an effort to reduce, and ultimately eliminate health disparities. The Center will use this series to promote a dialogue among public health professionals in Nevada about health disparities, the causes, and potential solutions.
