Making Health Equity Visible:
Findings from the Unnatural Causes User Survey
Back in December we conducted a survey asking those who had convened screenings of Unnatural Causes how they’ve been using the series, with whom, what next steps had emerged, and what they learned. To our surprise, we received 789 responses!
The report on the survey findings, along with our team’s recommendations for moving forward, is now available online: www.unnaturalcauses.org/survey

Check Out the Redesigned Unnatural Causes Web Site
The Unnatural Causes companion site has undergone a “remodel”. All the rich health equity tools, handouts, lesson plans and other resources are still there, but we’ve reorganized the content and added new features and navigation tools we hope you will find useful:
- A Media & Documents Library brings all our pdfs, images, interactivities, videos, etc. together in one place.
- A new “Share” tool lets you quickly email, print, or post a page to your favorite social networking site.
- Updated navigation makes it easier to find what you’re looking for.
We hope you’ll enjoy the site, share it with your friends and colleagues, and link to it from your own site: www.unnaturalcauses.org

Farewell to Rachel Poulain
Rachel Poulain, MPH, who so ably directed outreach and public engagement efforts for Unnatural Causes here at California Newsreel, has left for a much-deserved vacation followed by a return to graduate school.
We are endlessly indebted to Rachel for her savvy, sensitivity, generosity, and tireless efforts on behalf of health equity. She made the whole team's work better and more effective. Everyone lucky enough to have worked with her knows she will be equally successful in her future endeavors. We will miss you, Rachel!
